Dr. Glenn Finishing Xterra Triathalon

Dr. Glenn Hyman was born in Philadelphia and grew up across the river in New Jersey. If you've been to New Jersey, you know why he moved to Colorado in 1990. He attended the University of Colorado at Denver and Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis.

He opened Denver Chiropractic Center in 1998. Dr. Hyman has had the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with Dr. Michael Leahy, the Active Release® 'guru' for two professional football seasons. The team doesn't let us use their name, but it's the big team in town. By treating professional athletes with Dr. Leahy, Dr. Hyman received advanced training that simply isn't available in seminars.

Dr. Hyman has also worked as a part of the large Active Release® team that treats athletes at the Ironman races across North America and, of course Kona. To be completely honest, anyone who has taken any ART® seminar can work an Ironman race, even Kona.

In 2002 he was chosen as the head chiropractor for the Saturn Cycling team (the team is now defunct).

Dr Glenn Hyman and Meredith

Dr. Hyman was married to Mrs. Dr. Hyman on October 21, 2002 (two days after the Ironman), on a beach on the Big Island of Hawaii. The place is called Kona Village Resort and he highly recommends it. If you go, throw all financial responsibility to the wind and get an ocean side hut. And go spend a night at the volcano. You'll never forget it.

Dr. Glenn, Meredith, and their three sons - Andrew, Jason, and Zachary - live in Centennial (we moved from Parker, in case you've been checking this page often) with their dog.

Dr. Hyman is a former volunteer Red Cross CPR instructor. If you are not trained to perform CPR, please call the Mile-High Chapter of the American Red Cross at 303-722-7474 and sign up. You could save a life.

Tucker Saye

As a professional motocross racer, injuries become a part of life. It is a top priority to get back to 100% healthy and start racing again, or I am out of a job. I had a very serious injury in 2007 that left me with a shattered elbow and required metal implants. In the summer of 2010 I had to have that metal removed during a second surgery. I struggled for months to get my elbow back to normal but it seemed to become more painful as I started racing again. During this time I suffered a broken femur, which also needed surgery. I knew if I was going to continue with my racing career that I had to get my leg and my elbow back to normal before I got back on a bike. We saw the surgeon again and he said that my elbow was very traumatized and it would likely never be the same. Well I was not about to take no for an answer so I began searching for answers. A friend told me about A.R.T. therapy and I had to try it. I found Denver Chiropractic Center and immediately set up an appointment with Dr. Jeff Stripling. I spent a month working with Dr. Stripling on my elbow and my leg. On May 1st I got back on a bike with a well healed leg and an elbow that has never felt better. My leg is 100% normal and my elbow feels better than it has in over a year. A.R.T. therapy and the Denver Chiropractic Center helped me get back to racing at 100%, something many people told me was impossible. If you are looking for chiropractic work or A.R.T. therapy I can assure you that there is no better place to go than the Denver Chiropractic Center. Thank you Dr. Stripling for all the continuous hard work!

To compete as an ultra marathon runner, there is nothing more important than being healthy. Showing up at the start line injury free is a must, although it is easier said than done. In prior years, Injuries to my IT band and Achilles tendon have kept me sidelined and led to mediocre race results, not to mention pain and discomfort in everyday activities.

This past season I visited Dr. Stripling on a regular basis to expedite the recovery of my overuse injuries. His use of Active Release Therapy and Graston Technique helped me to heal much more quickly than I have in the past. I now visit Dr. Stripling on a regular basis to help me remain healthy and energized. I have managed to stay injury free, while increasing both the volume and intensity of my workouts.

Thank you, Dr. Stripling, for all of your help!

Being an ultra runner, I regularly push my body to its limits, some times risking injury. Regular appointments with Dr. Stripling for Active Release Technique treatments have accelerated my body's natural healing process, allowing me to recover faster from injuries and greatly increase my training. Since my first appointment with Dr. Stripling, I have been so surprised by how much better I feel after hard workouts. Thanks to the chiropractic treatments and Dr. Stripling's expert advice on how to strengthen my problem areas, I am getting faster all the time, and now have the confidence to tackle my first 100 mile race this year.

Dr. Carly May grew up in Miami, Florida, but her heart belonged to the mountains. Five of her summers were spent at camp in Florissant, Colorado and one summer was spent biking 1,000 miles in New England and Canada.

In high school, she competed on Varsity Cross Country and Track teams. She was so committed and motivated that she overtrained and suffered from stress fractures, ITband syndrome and shin splints. Rather than being discouraged, she turned to a Sports Chiropractor to understand the source of her injuries. It was then that she realized that not only did she want to help herself, but she wanted to use this knowledge to help others.

She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrative Physiology. She spent a semester studying in Barcelona, giving her the opportunity to travel through Europe and gain new insights. Dr. May went on to St. Louis to attend Logan College, where she received degrees in Doctorate of Chiropractic, Bachelor of Life Sciences and Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

After graduation, Dr. May returned to Colorado to put her knowledge and qualifications to work. She completed her clinical internship in the University of Colorado at Boulder Training Room at DalWard, working primarily with the football, tennis, track and field, golf, and soccer teams. In addition, she provided needed care to athletes at the NCAA Regional Golf Championship in May of 2011. Through these invaluable experiences, she learned a great deal about injury prevention, gait and biomechanical analysis, and post-surgical rehab.

Her certifications include: Certified Chiropractic Sport Physician by the American Chiropractic Board of Sport Physicians, full body Active Release Techniques Provider, Graston Technique provider, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Dr. May has run many marathons - the Chicago Marathon and nine half marathons, including four years of the Boulder Backroads Race. Last summer she competed in her first triathlon, Tri for the Cure, and she is training for the Denver Triathlon for summer 2012.

In her time away from work, she enjoys running, skiing, biking, rollerblading, mountain climbing, and playing tennis. She is also involved with the Colorado Young Alums Organization and the Colorado Sports Organization, where she serves on the Boards.
